I strive to create unique, functional and structural objects with a variety of materials and process. It is important to me that the finished piece does not disguise the raw and natural state of material I began with. In some cases taking the material out of context without hiding its nature is of great inspiration to my work. I primarily work with metal, but have branched out to other materials, often combining them for innovative solutions. For me, how materials act in certain processes is an important step in turning a design into a finished piece of furniture. My current furniture designs are based upon staying true to original materials while ultimately creating an individually, unique design and definite function.
